Happy 3-month birthday, BabyBug!

Would you believe it?
The nurse practitioner on Leah’s surgical team emailed me this morning to let me know, among other things, that when they do the procedure on the 21st to remove the granulation tissue and do another contrast study, they would like to switch out Leah’s Mic-Key button for a different brand which they find is better with kids who form granulation tissue. It’s called a Mini ONE.
That’s right. Her Mic-Key is being swapped out for a Mini. I am not even kidding.
Missing my Bug!
I had a bit of a sore throat today – not sure if it’s from being sick so much or if it’s from getting sick-sick, but I didn’t want to take any chances. So we improvised.

“MAMA! OMG MAMA’S TRAPPED IN THE LITTLE BOX!!”
Meanwhile… I have another gastric emptying study in the morning. I get to eat a radioactive sandwich. It’ll be my first sandwich in months.
In better news… BabyBug is off of her antibiotics! Let’s hope it stays that way!
Rockin’ 21
One more thing
I may not get a chance to respond personally to each comment you guys post on the blog, but know that we are reading every last one and I so look forward to those little email notifications saying we have a comment. A great number of them are comment spam for designer prom dresses and erectile dysfunction medications, but the ones that come from you make up for all the rest. We love them. And for those of you who read the posts but don’t comment, thank you so much for continuing to follow Leah’s progress. Thank you to *everyone* for being BabyBug’s cheerleaders.
That is all. Good night.
Oh – one more thing. It is officially Mandy’s birthday! Happy birthday, Mommy Mandy!
Question
Is anybody else seeing a photo background image when you view from an iPhone?
Apparently I am one of “those moms.”
I entered baby’s little mug in a BabyCenter photo contest entitled, “My Little Love.”
You know you want to vote for her.

Baby says thanks! Really, she does!
This is what happens when Mama can’t sleep.
A couple of little firsts
We don’t have a new weight tonight since we got early spoilers last night. However, BabyPie had a couple of firsts today. The nurse said it’s time to start giving her some visual stimulation, so she propped up a little box thingie in front of her (mobile style) for entertainment while she ate (and of course by “ate” I mean “sat there like a royal doll while food was pumped into her tummy”). The box had mirrors on some sides and shapes on others. This means our wee Bug saw her own precious face for the first time today!
Leah also continues to be a gassy, gassy baby, so we have been trying to hold her upright a bit as that seems to help. Today we set up the Boppy in her isolette and propped her up for a feeding and nap. She sat like Queen LeahBug on her pillow throne (yes, I’m skipping the obvious Princess Leia reference). We were only missing palm fronds.
We now present you with pictures!

Sleepy Bug partying like it’s Pesach

“MAMA! There’s another BabyBug over there!”

Angry Baby. (When I first called her Angry Baby, Mandy envisioned a new iPhone game app…)

Sleeping Beauty with blankie by Nicole G.M. Thank you!!

Look at that hair! She is too cool for school – and also too tiny.

Wide awake and fascinated with the New Thing

“Hey Mamas – now I can see what I look like sleeping! I am so cute when I sleep! How do you stand it?”
Peekaboo
BabyBug lost a whole ounce today but hopefully she will bounce back tomorrow. No real update today other than that; just posting so you know we haven’t forgotten you. Cousin Beth brought Mama Lisa a juicer today (THANK YOU!), and Mama Lisa was up late making a giant mess in the kitchen. So no pictures tonight. I’ll be a better blogger tomorrow!!!
